Hee Hee...Oops!

Well- Haha..... This week was interesting. So my hair is getting so long to the point where I didnt even have bangs any more... annnnnnd I didnt wanna go to a hair salon. So what did I do?? I bought scissors for 40 cents (the kind that they use in elementary school) ... annnnnd I went in the bathroom before bed..... and I cut myself some new bangs! And what did I learn? Just because some one in your family is a hair stylist doesnt mean I was born with the same gift. Haha they are hideous! lop-sided! and just.. bad hahaha muy muuuuy mal. So after a good laugh I decided that I am going to a hair salon today to cut my hair and have them fixed in the first time in almost 8 or 9 months! haha

Wish me luck! and no I will not send you pictures of my ugly bangs- haha

This week, no one came to church and it was actually a little sad because tons of people told us they would and we woke up extra early to go and wake people up (hehe) but, God has His reasons I guess.

The family that we found told us en una manera muy directa that they didnt want to go to church again, that they dont wanna listen to our message and that they wont be coming back. It just broke my heart. I know that agency is part of Gods plan... but still it sucks sometimes.

This week NO ONE WAS HOME haha school started last week so everyone is way busy we just walk and walk and walk from house to house to house and no one had time this week.

BUT when one door closes, another opens... and when THAT door closes.. God opens a window. We found a little old couple that are SO cute and just SO perfect.. and I know that they are gonna progress :) I can already see them in the temple!

I love you guys, hope you all had a good week! Stay safe!... and read your scriptures danggit! Lol

I can"t believe it!

I literally cant believe that I have been gone for such a long time. Time is such a weird concept. Especially in the mission. The days are so long but the weeks fly by. I know i've been gone for a year but then again it feels like yesterday I was saying goodbye to you guys at the airport. Haha, I still have a long ways to go but I know it will go by quickly. I dont know what to think about that.

This week was pretty difficult. Omar and his son, turns out CANT be baptized for a couple reasons that are pretty personal to send through interenet. We had to stop working with them, it broke my heart. We extended THREE baptismal dates in ONE week! and..... (drumroll) everyone said no.

We've had to leave a lot of investigators behind because they werent progressing, didnt wanna come to church, didnt wanna change bad habbits, and so now its been really hard finding people to teach. We walk A LOT. Sometimes I cant help but feel a little discouraged. It takes a lot of faith to leave investigators behind.. because we have to trust that God will guide us to new people that have been prepared by him to recieve this gospel.

After acouple of weeks of not having ANYONE in the church we finally were able to bring a mother, named Teresa, and her daughter, Dennise. Everything was great until after the classes when Teresa told us that she felt super uncomfortable, she is SUPER catholic and the church is really different so it kind of scared her a little. She told us she respects our religion and that we can continue visiting her, but that she wont come back.

I wanted to badly to cry.

I knew that the mission wasnt gonna be easy, but sometimes it surprises me at just how hard it can be.

But at the same time I am learning to see the hand of the Lord in my life. When one door closes, another one opens.... and when THAT door closes, God opens the window. That day after church we were walking to lunch when we decided to contact a house we saw with little kids out front. We walked up to the gate and yelled HOLAAA BUENOS DIAS.. A VER and out came a woman she was SO nice (and laughed at my jokes) and she is married, lives there with her husband and her three kids! And she excepted an appointment :) We still dont know what will happen but I know that if its her time, everything will be okay!

I love you all! I love my mission! I miss you bunches and bunches but I know that we will see eachother soon. But until then... A TRABAJAR!

Sister Miller

El Ultimo Skype!!!!!

Well, haha that was fun but went by so fast! I dont even feel like we skyped, it feels more like a dream or something, haha and its weird to think that the next time we talk it will be in person!

This weekend was a little stressful haha we had a baptism and it was so great! His name is Jean Carlos and he is 19 years old and really cool. but everything else about this week was a little loco. We had acouple people progressing and everything just fell through and so now we are in zeros again.

BUT THATS OKAY! because we've got big plans! haha my new companion is cool, she has only been a member for two years and her life before her baptism was pretty difficult and crazy. She is super nice and we get along great!

I am gonna try to finish writing letters today, I have Rias written... but the rest todavia no! haha

It was so hard to speak english with you guys! Im not even kidding! haha its so weird... I havent spoken english outloud in such a long time! lol I never believed the missinaries that came home and said that they "Forgot" english! But its so true now, haha english is hard!

Hope all is well at home, it was great to see you guys! I cant believe how different things are! I have been gone for a loooooooooooooooong time! haha

Love ya,

Sorpressa!

Hello! Wow, this week has been a  rollercoaster! lol I dont even know where to start!

First things first, my companion had transfers! There we were sleeping... at 11 at night when all of the sudden the phone rings! The zone leaders! I thought they were calling to tell me that I had transfers, because my companion only has six weeks here. BUT to our surprise Hermana Aburto has cambios! haha We packed her stuff until like, 2 in the morning and then woke up again at 5 to travel to guayaquil- What a morning!

My new companion is Hermana Velez from columbia! she just finished her training today :) She has 3 months in the mission is 19 years old and is a recient convert. She was baptised 2 years ago! She is really cool and I think we will get along great.

My birthday made me miss you all SO SO SO much but the people here love me and made me feel like I was at home. Including the fact that my converts gloria tamara jocelyn and danner made me a cake that looked like a book of mormon! it was so cute haha

As fr the work, a lot of our investigators have fallen through and our baptismal dates have fallen aswell. BUT this saturday is the baptism of a 19 year old kid named Jean Carlos :) he is awesome and super excited to be baptised!

Keep an eye on the mail box :)

Love you all,

Hermana Miller
